Programme Evaluation
Evaluating participatory, democratic processes to strive for better.
Learning with partners about the systems and processes in use, then collaborating and challenging to make sure the project is the best it can be. Developing the programme’s theory of change based on partners, workers, communities, research, and outcomes.
We know the value of democratic engagement with communities, and we want these processes to be implemented as best as they can, whenever they can.
Through interviews and surveys with workers, stakeholders, and participants, we gather experiences.
We synthesise these experiences with our own observations of the project and its outcomes, to get a fuller picture.
With a view to existing theory and research, we evaluate how we - and others - can learn from the project, so that democratic engagement can be the best it can be.

Community Leadership Panel
We worked with Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership to give community leaders a seat at the table for the decisions which matter most to them. We reported on the process of creating the panel, to provide evidence which can encourage others to include the panel at every stage.

Community Resilience Fund
Bristol City Council, VCSE, and community members awarded grants to small, community organisations to build their resilience. Jack’s evaluation of the project showed the potential and learnings of a huge participatory democratic process.
